Description of works being carried out -
Description of works:
We will be upgrading Windows Shared Hosting Web and Database Servers to the latest Windows Server 2022 operating system.
At risk periods:
From 2nd May 2022 up to and including 31st May 2022.
Service Impacts (if any):
Each upgrade will take approximately 20 minutes during which time the server will reboot a number of times. The upgrades will take place early in the morning and at weekends to cause least disruption for customers websites.
Reason for works:
This will allow shared hosting to support Microsoft latest server operating system as well as new technologies including TLS 1.3 encryption, and HTTP/3 QUIC for faster web page loading.
