Domain Name Transfer from Fasthosts (.UK Extensions) to 123 Simples -

If your website is currently registered with Fasthosts using domain name such as .uk, .co.uk, .org.uk, .me.uk, .ltd.uk, .plc.uk and you wish to transfer the domain name and services to 123 Simples, then this article will show you how to prepare your Fasthosts domain for a transfer to our servers. The process is different if you wish to transfer an international domain (eg .com, .net) to us.

You will need to know -

Before you can action the transfer of your domain name, you will need to know (or someone appointed by you) the following details:

1. Your control panel username and password to access your Fasthost Account;
2. The .UK domain name you wish to transfer;
3. The IPS Tag of your new registration provider.

Our IPS Tag is WEBSITELIVE

Please note that certain domains (.com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .mobi, .cc and .tv) must be registered under your name for at least 60 days before they can be transferred to a different provider. This is required by the ICANN directive and applies to all providers.

Step 1 - Login to the Fasthosts Control Panel -

The URL for your Fasthosts Control Panel should be: https://www.fasthosts.co.uk/login

Step 2 - Follow the procedure below -

Select Domain Names from the Hosting & Domains menu.
A list of your domain names will appear. Click on the .UK domain you would like to transfer.

THE DOMAIN NAME CONTACT DETAILS: If there are problems with the domain name's contact details, such as missing or invalid data, you'll be prompted to update the contact details before you are able to transfer the domain. Any information that needs updating will be highlighted in red. Simply, enter your details then click Save Contact to continue.

Click the Transfer Out link in the Contacts & ownership title.

On the next page, select an option from the Why are you transferring out? dropdown and click Continue to Transfer Out. Click the I Still Want To Transfer Out button to confirm that you want to transfer your domain away from Fasthosts.

Step 3 - Enter our IPS Tag -

Enter the IPS tag WEBSITELIVE in the text box provided and click Transfer Out.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT:

- The IPS Tag is usually changed immediately, so notify us when you have carried out the procedure above.

- We will get notification of the IPS Tag Request from the releasing host. Your email and website(s) may go offline for a short time whilst the changeover completes.
